City elections are the first Tuesday in November every four years on odd years. The next city election is Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
All City of Bowie residents registered to vote in Prince George's County are eligible to vote in city elections.
Some areas have a Bowie address but are not in the incorporated city, meaning they don't pay taxes to Bowie, receive services from the city, or vote in City of Bowie elections.
Confirm your residency status here.
Residents who would rather vote before Election Day can come to City Hall before November 7 between 9:00am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday and obtain, complete, and return an Absentee Ballot in a single trip.
To complete an Absentee Ballot in person or submit one by mail, the address is:
Bowie City Hall
Awilda Hernandez, City Clerk
15901 Fred Robinson Way
Bowie, MD 20716
Absentee ballots that were requested by mail must be received by the city by November 7, 2023 at 8:00pm. Absentee Ballots returned by mail must be received in the sealed official Absentee Ballot envelope to be counted.
Residents can vote in person at their designated voting location on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 between 7:00am and 8:00pm. Find your designated voting location here.
